BIO | RESUME

Brian David Cange has been working as a hands-on producer/director/line producer for the last twelve years. He has extensive credits on independent features, documentaries, promotional / industrial films, and domestic and foreign commercials.

Cange recently completed an around-the-world production for KUMON, which documented this innovative after school program in six diverse countries. Brian has also directed extensive commercial works for DELOITTE, including a series of videos in 2008 on the history of Silicon Valley, which featured Al Gore.

Among Brian’s documentary titles are LUSH LIFE: BILLY STRAYHORN (2007 - PBS), AN AMERICAN WEDDING (2005 - also Director of television pilot), MAD HOT BALLROOM (2005 – Award-Winning, Paramount Classics), SYNTHETIC PLEASURES (1996 - Sundance Competition). His work in narrative features includes THE UNDERSTUDY (2007), THE SKEPTIC (2006) and The QUALITY OF MERCY (2002).

Brian’s directorial work can be seen in the following original short films: SMASH THE KITTY (2003), A COUNTER FANCY (1999), and ANTHONY’S KITCHEN (1998), which received numerous awards, including “Best Short” at the American Film and Video Festival.

Cange has written several feature length screenplays and continues to adapt original material for film. He and partner Marilyn Agrelo have optioned two literary novels by Valerie Block, NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS and DON’T MAKE A SCENE.
